Assignment 8 (Hamlet)

 http://s3.amazonaws.com/rscmedia01/explore/multimedia/photos/ham_0604_01006.jpg

I chose this picture of Hamlet and “The Ghost” to post on my blog.  I chose this picture because the Ghost is a main part in Hamlet.  So far, what we have read has mainly been about or referring to the Ghost.

Assignment 6

In the Wizard of Oz four people are trying to gain something they think they don’t have but it just takes the trip to Oz for them to find out that they had it the whole time. The 4 main characters are Dorthy, Tin Man, Scarecrow, and the Cowardly Lion.  The Scarecrow was in search of a brain which he found out he already had one. The Tin man was in search of a heart which he already had. The Cowardy Lion was in search of Courage which he found along the way to Oz. Last but not least, Dorthy was in search of her family and home. The two witches in the story represent the good and bad in life.  Maybe a time when you think things can’t get any worse.(wicked Witch)  Or maybe a time when you feel like your on top of the world.(Good Witch)

Tats realy all I know about This movie.  I hate the movie. It creeps me out.

Assignment 5 (Mirror Image)

The media portrays the perfect male body as being trim, with washboard abs, and shaven skin.  Ads such as Soloflex, Hanes, cologne ads, and even Protein suppliement models all look like “modern-day Adonises”.

Women think that they have it bad but really the media bashes men even more than the women.

Teens idealize the body’s and lives of ”everyone else”.  Some teens are always seeking perfection. They see the body image of someone that they like and they think they have to be just like them.  This happens all the time!!!  There are multiple books out there about teenagers and there body images.
